Take instructions from the beginning, not the middle.
Telephone the chambers, or send the outline of the matter and it will be read the same day it arrives and answered with a plain statement of whether the firm can act.

Before you send
An enquiry is most useful when it says who is involved, what has happened, what has already been signed or served, and what you want the outcome to be. Dates matter more than adjectives, particularly where a deadline or a prescription period is running.
Sending an enquiry does not by itself create a client relationship. That begins only once the matter has been checked for conflict and terms of engagement have been agreed, and you will be told promptly if the firm cannot act.
If the matter is urgent, telephone rather than write.
