Sabastain Masimba Guwuriro
Admitted as a legal practitioner of the High Court of Zimbabwe in 2004, and a notary public and conveyancer of the same court. He founded Messrs. Guwuriro Associates Legal Practitioners in 2014 and leads it from Harare.
Before the firm he spent three years as Group Legal and Compliance Manager at Spiritage Zimbabwe Telecommunications, where he built the group's legal, secretariat and compliance division and its corporate governance structures from the ground up. He holds an LLB Honours from the University of Zimbabwe and is a Master of Business Administration candidate at ESAMI.
The practice
Guwuriro Associates Legal Practitioners is a Harare firm built around corporate and commercial work: the agreements companies sign, the regulators they answer to, and the disputes they would rather settle than argue.
Clients are foreign investors entering Zimbabwe, established local companies, boards that need an independent view before they resolve, and executives carrying a matter that has moved past internal handling. The firm advises on the Companies Act, the Labour Act, the Income Tax Act, exchange control and the sector legislation that sits on top of them.
Work is led personally. Where a team is needed, it is assembled and supervised from the same desk that took the instruction.
